Tsubaki By Koi, a locally owned Japanese restaurant known for its sushi, hibachi, and celebratory atmosphere, is relocating from its longtime location at 3564 Ambassador Caffery Parkway to 803 W. Pinhook Road in Lafayette, formerly occupied by Shane’s.
According to Tsubaki by Koi, the move comes as its lease at the Ambassador Caffery location has ended. We are also told that major construction is planned for the former site, which partly contributed to the decision to relocate.

The new space will not include traditional tableside hibachi cooking, the restaurant says customers can still expect the same food and team that made Tsubaki a local favorite. Hibachi dishes will continue to be served, with meals prepared in the kitchen by the same chef, alongside the restaurant’s sushi and other Japanese-inspired menu items…
