Avoyelles youth learn dangers of impaired driving through story of Simmons 3

MARKSVILLE , La. (KALB) – A family is turning unimaginable loss into a message that could save lives.

The Avoyelles Community & Youth Coalition hosted an event Wednesday honoring the Simmons 3, three children killed in a crash involving an impaired driver in December 2021. Organizers say the goal is to make sure their story sparks change.
