The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim in a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on Wednesday morning as 51-year-old Charles Kountz II.
Deputies responded to the 900 block of Marteau Road shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, Kountzwas found dead in the roadway, according to an LPSO announcement.
