LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — Home prices have reached record highs nationally and risen in Lafayette Parish, with analysts pointing to a surge in upper-end home purchases as a key driver of local market trends.
According to the National Association of Realtors, the national median home price reached $440,000 — a nearly 2% increase from the previous year. Economic uncertainty, in part tied to the Iran War, has been cited as a contributing factor in driving housing prices across the country to an all-time high.
