Opelousas woman accused of threatening sheriff’s office, school staff

OPELOUSAS, La. (NEWS 15) — An Opelousas woman was arrested on multiple felony charges after making threatening communications against the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office and a school support staff member, according to Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.

Mackenzie James, 25, of Opelousas, is charged with one count of terrorizing and four counts of assault on a school teacher.

Authorities did not provide the name of the school…
