LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — Judice Inn in Lafayette, a nearly 80-year-old burger institution, is set to be inducted into the Louisiana Restaurant Association’s Hall of Fame, an honor that caught owner and general manager Gerald Judice off guard when the call came in.
It was business as usual at Judice Inn when Gerald Judice received a congratulatory call from the Louisiana Restaurant Association. In a world of scams and catfishing, Judice was not immediately convinced the call was legitimate.
“And I just got a phone call one day and said, ‘Congratulations, you’re gonna be included in the Hall of Fame this year,'” he recalled. “And I actually had to ask a couple questions because I wasn’t sure if it was a real call or not.”…
