A Church Point man has been sentenced to five years in prison in connection with a Jeff Davis Parish gun case.
Tyren Larenz Chavis, 30, was sentenced after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to information released Monday by the Jeff Davis Parish District Attorney’s Office.
