SHREVEPORT, La. — Federal and state officials are pledging increased backing for local law enforcement following a regional meeting between FBI Director Kash Patel and Louisiana police leaders.
Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith attended the gathering in Lafayette after receiving a personal invitation from the FBI special agent in charge. The session focused on reinforcing federal and state support for municipal departments and sheriff’s offices across the state.
