The University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s enrollment fell 2.5% this fall, with 398 fewer students than a year ago — putting the university below the enrollment baseline for a 10-year plan that calls for substantial growth.
UL enrolled 15,702 students in Fall 2026, compared with 16,100 degree-seeking students in Fall 2025. Undergraduate enrollment fell 1.6% to 13,602, while graduate enrollment declined 7.6% to 2,100.
