Stephen Damico, a University of Louisiana at Lafayette graduate, played a role in the Artemis II mission, which took humans farther from Earth than they had ever traveled before.
Damico has spent almost 20 years at NASA, where he is deputy system manager of the Orion Propulsion System, responsible for testing hardware and conducting risk analyses to inform mission safety.
