LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Residents in the Elmhurst neighborhood of Lafayette are reporting low water pressure, road damage and a broken fire hydrant. Lafayette Utilities System confirmed the leak is located at an intersection and is caused by a faulty valve.
Shannon May, an Elmhurst resident who owns a plumbing company, said an ongoing leak in the neighborhood has troubled local homeowners.
“I’ve noticed this has been going on for quite some time,” May said. “We call it the watering hole. We’re losing significant pressure loss day and night because of this. This probably thousands of gallons. Yeah, just going down the drain.”…
