(Lafayette, Louisiana) – If you have a debit card- and who doesn’t these days- chances are you’ve walked up to an ATM to get cash, and you may have even had to pay a fee to use the machine.
Some ATMs charge you a few bucks, while others may charge you a higher fee to use it, and now the fee you paid is the center of a $167 million settlement.
According to a report, Visa and Mastercard were accused of restricting how independent ATMs set access fees, which in turn meant higher costs for ATM users…
