YOUNGSVILLE Westminster-Lafayette coach Kent Gable had his Chargers ready for a fight in their District 7-1A opener against Centerville on Thursday.
As it turned out, the visiting Bulldogs weren’t quite up to the task with the Chargers demolishing Centerville 54-14 at Acadiana Renaissance.
“We told them it was going to be a war and they took it as a challenge,” Gable said. “They wanted to come out and prove to everybody that we play hard-nosed football and the kids did that tonight.”…
