LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Apparently, the proposed Bertrand Drive Revitalization project isn’t dead after all.
Despite significant pushback by business owners along the corridor that led to slowing the progress of the project and changes to the original plan, Lafayette Consolidated Government has announced road construction to begin next week in connection with the project.
LCG said drivers should prepare for intermittent center lane closures on Bertrand Drive between Johnston Street and North College Road beginning Monday, Sept. 28, which are expected to continue through March 30, 2027…
