KAPLAN, La. (KLFY) — Former paraprofessional India Sysac was arrested after an alleged physical incident involving a 5-year-old nonverbal elementary school student in Vermilion Parish.
The arrest followed an investigation prompted by a report on Sept. 21 involving student Kohen Prater. Law enforcement reviewed school surveillance video before a warrant was signed on Sept. 23.
