NEW IBERIA, LA. (KLFY) — The City of New Iberia advises motorists beginning on Thursday, Oct. 15, street improvements will be set for on the following streets in the order listed below in New Iberia.
- Charles Street (300 thru 700 blocks) – From Weeks Street to Lee Street
- Bank Avenue (100 and 200 block) – From E. Main Street to E. St Peter Street
- Robertson Street (100 thru 300 blocks) – From Iberia Street to the R/R Tracks
Construction will be set between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and some Saturdays.
The asphalt surface will be milled off down to the original concrete surface, officials said. Once the asphalt is removed, repair evaluations will be made, and the contractor will make repairs over the course of the coming weeks. Once repairs are completed the street will be overlaid with new asphalt.
