Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson said when deputies pulled Joseph over during a traffic stop, about 24 pounds of methamphetamine and a firearm was found. With a street value of over $200,000, Gibson says it’s not the largest recovery his office has had, but it is one of the biggest his office has made since he has been sheriff.
“It stays up on top of my head, memory as far as one of the biggest ones that we’ve had since I’ve been sheriff,” said Gibson. “I know that there’s probably others that may have been bigger, but the goal of what we want to do is we’d love to see as much drugs, obviously, off the streets.”
