LAFAYETTE, La. ( KLFY ) — A pedestrian has died in a vehicle accident on Ambassador Caffery Parkway, according to the Lafayette Police Department.
LPD said they are currently on the scene of a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on the 3600 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway. Officials said a preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle hit a pedestrian in the roadway of Ambassador.
Traffic investigators are actively investigating the incidents that led up to the accident. Updates will provided as more information becomes available.
The 3600 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway will be closed for normal flow of traffic for at least two hours. Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route of travel.
