A man is dead after a truck slammed into him on Ambassador Caffery Parkway near the Acadiana Mall in Lafayette on Monday, Feb. 5. The man was pushing a Home Depot shopping basket. Lafayette police said it’s unclear why the victim was walking in a busy roadway. The victim has been identified as Wilton Miller, 62, of Alexandria.
