ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. ( KLFY ) — A Breaux Bridge Elementary student was in the hospital after an altercation, where a woman is accused of jumping on a school bus and inciting a fight between her daughter and the child.
11-year-old Destiny Thibeaux got on her school bus early Wednesday morning down Agnes Street. As the bus went to the next stop down the road, one of her classmates’ parents got on the bus with her daughter and started a fight between the two.

Destiny’s grandmother Latricia Potier said Destiny called her in the middle of the altercation.
“My grandbaby kept yelling, come see for me, come see for me. The mom and her daughter are on the bus fighting with me,” Potier explained.

Ashley Potier, Destiny’s mother, talked to her daughter about the incident. She says the mother who got on the bus was claiming her daughter was being bullied by Destiny which incited her to follow the bus when Destiny got on. When it stopped, she took action.
