ABBEVILLE, La. ( KLFY ) — A New Iberia man was shot to death by a 16-year-old with a criminal history Thursday night, authorities said.
Dylan Michael Walker,19, of New Iberia was shot on Robie Circle in Abbeville and died at a local hospital, according to Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon.

Couvillon said a 16-year-old male from Abbeville has been arrested and charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of armed robbery. Previously, the same juvenile pled guilty to six charges in relation to numerous burglaries, felony thefts and illegal possession of stolen goods complaints, including stolen firearms, and was presently wearing an ankle monitor in lieu of detention.
The VPSO received a call about a possible shooting on at approximately 8:44 p.m. Thursday. The caller said the shooting allegedly occurred on Robie Circle and a vehicle departed the area, possibly with a victim. Deputies were advised that the vehicle stopped at a convenience store on Hwy. 14 bypass, where an Acadian Ambulance unit was located. Medical personnel immediately began to render medical aid and transported a male victim to a local hospital, where he died of gunshot wounds, officials said.
