Lottery warning to check ticket for $100,000 Powerball prize expiring now and it was bought at a gas station

TODAY is the last day to claim a fleeting lotto prize, so gamblers in Louisiana should listen up before they miss out.

The Powerball ticket was for a drawing held on August 14, 2023, according to National Lottery chiefs.

While it didn’t hit the full jackpot, it won $100,000 with Match 4 plus Powerball.

Usually matching four balls and the Powerball would only win $50,000, but the winner used Power Play to double their loot.

The numbers drawn were 32, 34, 27, 39, 47, and 3 for the Powerball.

But today is the last day for the ticketholder to come forward or else the prize vanishes, as its expiration date is February 10.

Louisiana gives lotto players 180 days from the drawing date to turn in tickets and claim prizes.

WHERE TO LOOK

The winner has limited time to find their ticket but shouldn’t give up if they recognize the location where it was sold.

The ticket was bought at a Murphy Express gas station in Denham Springs, about 25 minutes east of Baton Rouge.

Lottery officials suggest making a photocopy of the front and back of a winner’s ticket.
