LAFAYETTE, Louisiana – The Louisiana men’s basketball team had five players score in double figures in an 86-60 win over Bowling Green on Sunday. The Cajuns shot 56.9 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three-point range in the win.

Themus Fulks led the way with 17 on 7-of-10 shooting. Hosana Kitenge recorded his third double-double of the year with a 16-point, 10-rebound performance.

Kobe Julien scored 10 points, his 24th game in double figures this season. Joe Charles added 14 while Michael Thomas added 12 off the bench.

The Cajuns (16-9, 8-4 SBC) had the first lead of the game and were ahead 4-1 when the Falcons (16-8, 7-4 MAC) went on a 7-0 run. Fulks snapped the run with a jump to keep the Cajuns within four. The sides traded baskets until Kyran Ratliff’s three made it 20-19 in favor of the Falcons.

Brandon Hardy put Louisiana back on top with a three at 23-22 and from there the Cajun offense took over. Thomas hit back-to-back buckets to stretch the lead to five. Louisiana continued to take over and after baskets by Julien and Kitenge led 33-24. Kitenge put the Cajuns up 11 with just over a minute to go in the half, and that’s where things stood heading into the locker room, 41-30.
