LOREAUVILLE, La. ( KLFY ) — News 10 made its way to Loreauville for the popular Papa Red Dog Mardi Gras Day Parade.
After speaking with the man himself, Mr. Lawrence Zacharie, he says he is excited for yet another year of Mardi Gras on Main Street.

“It really is exciting. I just hope everyone comes out and enjoys and gets home safe,” Zacharie said.
For nearly 40 years, The Papa Red Dog Parade makes its way down Loreauville’s Main Street for the community and others looking to attend. From floats to friends and family, to fun, the parade brings the joy of Mardi Gras to Loreauville every year. Zacharie’s daughter, Winnie Zacharie, has been the president of the parade for years. As she does her work to honor her father, she expresses what makes this parade so special to the community.
