Nine finalists were named in business pitch competition chosen from local with a chance to win a share cash prizes during a final pitch next month. The Elevate Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition put on by the Lafayette Economic Development Authority, Opportunity Machine and the LEED Center will hold its final stage at 6 p.m. Oct. 9 at the OM’s headquarters, 314 Jefferson St., in a chance to win a share of $8,500 in prizes, gain visibility, refine their business strategy and expand their network.
