Our region continues to struggle with a shortage of nurses and front-line health professionals. At SLCC’s Lafayette campus on Monday, several local healthcare providers were on hand for a nursing and allied health job fair. Nursing remains an on-demand profession in the area, largely because of an aging workforce and burnout stemming from the pandemic.
