Lafayette Parish School Board moves up time of meeting that will finalize closures

The Lafayette Parish School Board will meet an hour earlier than normal on the day it considers closing and consolidating schools. The meeting will be at the district office at 4 p.m., spokesperson Tracy Wirtz said in a release. The board has met at 5 p.m. since Superintendent Francis Touchet Jr. took the helm.
