Buc-ee’s is a gas station and convenience store chain that originated in Texas and is widely-known for its Beaver mascot and various food items.
In 2023, the store’s company purchased two plots of land in Louisiana, one is located in Ruston and the other in Lafayette.
Currently, both Buc-ee’s locations are still under construction, and they are both expected to open some time during 2025.
Buc-ee’s location coming to Ruston, Louisiana
The Buc-ee’s in Ruston will be located off of the I-20 Tarbutton Exchange exit , and across from Ruston Junior High School.
Construction of the store began in late 2023 and, at the beginning, it was said that construction would take around 12 to 15 months.
As of right now, according to Ruston mayor Ronny Walker, the travel center is scheduled to be fully operational by the last quarter of 2025 or by the first quarter of 2026.
Buc-ee’s in Ruston will have approximately 120 gas pumps, a 30-acre campus and a large variety of convenience store items. Moreover, an estimated 200 jobs will become available to Ruston locals once the store opens.
