ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. ( KLFY ) — The St. Landry Parish School Board is celebrating one ribbon cutting after another as a result of renovations to more than a dozen schools across the parish.
School board member Anthony Standberry and Director of Operations Claudia Blanchard said the school board secured the funding for new buildings and renovations from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund, or ESSER.
“With ESSER funds, federal funds, we were able to do some nice additions to schools that really needed some work. Create some air-quality space. The additions beautified the campuses, but it was necessary spaces for children,” Standberry said.
