Lafayette police have arrested a suspect on murder and a slew of other charges after a deadly shooting that happened on Friday night. Jail records show Shawn Chaisson, 44, of Carencro, was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on charges of first-degree murder, possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies, drug charges, and traffic violations.
