Lafayette man was arrested Wednesday in connection to a fatal crash where an 18-wheeler struck a sedan early Tuesday, killing the passenger in the car. The driver of the smaller vehicle has been identified as Darius Bellard,29, of Lafayette, LA. Bellard was booked into Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for failure to yield while turning left, failure to secure a driver’s license, felony hit and run, and negligent homicide, according to a press release.
