CARENCRO, LA. ( KLFY ) – Jenna Swails says flood waters quickly rose in and around her family’s home, causing them to lose most of their personal items. she says she and her family need help. We’re starting over again, and we can’t keep doing it, if we can afford to leave we would, but we can’t,” said Swails.

Swails says she and her family had to vacate their homes on their own as the waters continued to rise. Swails’s mother, Jodie Broom, who lives with Swails, says the water was as high she and her daughter’s waist, and was up to her granddaughter’s chest. “The water comes in very quickly, knowing that this child, my oldest grandchild here to walk through water, chest high, is upsetting,” said Broom.
