Stone Bridge Apartment tenant claims unit has mold after flooding

ABBEVILLE, La. ( KLFY )– Another tenant at Stone Bridge Apartments in Abbeville is complaining of mold after a recent flooding.

Rhonda Campbell, a resident there for seven years, said she’s been dealing with mold for 18 days.

“The manager at one time had talked somewhat about maybe me getting another apartment,” Campbell said. “But every time that I go and tell him, ‘I need answers,’ he never gives me an answer. And he has yet to give me a new apartment that doesn’t have mold in it.”

Campbell said the flooding looks like it came from plumbing issues next door, but she said management still has not figured out the real cause of it, nearly 20 days later.

“He’s trying to put blame on me for pipes that are in the wall or a seal on a bathtub, that he didn’t even change the seal if it was leaking,” Campbell said. “He just caught it.”
