ST. MARTINVILLE, La. ( KLFY ) — Human remains were discovered Sunday night in St. Martinville, authorities said.
Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday from a resident regarding a possible human body in a wooded area off of Banker Road in St. Martinville.
Deputies verified the findings as human remains and are currently working with outside authorities to determine the identity, officials said.
Further information will be released once the outside investigation is completed, authorities said.
