A pair of Lafayette firefighters are recovering from injuries suffered while battling a raging inferno as the new year arrived. Neighbors said a brick boathouse caught fire on Santa Cruz Drive and the intense flames were fueled by butane tanks that were stored inside. The two firefighters were hurt when a brick wall collapsed on them.
