Lafayette man speaks out after fugitive allegedly held him and his family at gunpoint

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Lafayette resident, Tobey Daigle, says fugitive, 40-year-old Faron Dillon, allegedly broke into his home on New Years Day and held him and his family at gunpoint.

Daigle says he, his wife, and children we’re fast asleep until they were awoken around 4:30 New Years morning to a knock at the front door. Next, he says Dillon jumped through their front window. Things would get ugly as Dillon pulled out a gun and pointed it towards the entire family.

“He pulled out a pistol yelling where’s my daughter aiming the gun towards everybody in the house, my wife Jamie Daigle ran up to him, hit him in his face, yelling to get out of my house now, and then I grabbed him by his throat, forcing him outside, once we got outside me and my wife started to wrestle with him,” said Daigle.

Daigle says he and his wife were able to protect themselves and defend their children, but we’re ultimately overpowered.

“He then shoved me on the ground and made a run towards a getaway car that his friend brought him in, me and my wife both received cuts, scrapes, and bruises all over us and I had a concussion from when he pushed me from hitting my head on the brick columns of the apartment complex, we live in,” said Daigle.
