5 suspects wanted in connection to St. Landry Parish murder

OPELOUSAS, La. ( KLFY ) – St. Landry Parish authorities are searching for 5 suspects in connection to a December murder on Honey Lane.

Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says they issued the warrants against the 5 people after investigators identified them as suspects in the shooting of 24-year old Kendrick Lewis. The victim was found shot on December 28th in the area of Honey Lane.

Mother of St. Landry Parish shooting victim says she tried to save his life

The suspects are:

18-year old Marques Malik Sonnier. He is charged with 2nd Degree Murder among other charges.

39-year old Joshua Ladarin Savoy Lastrapes. He is charged with Accessory After the Fact to 2nd Degree Murder among other charges.

17-year old Jasana Crystalin Amir Broussard. She is also charged with Accessory After the Fact to 2nd Degree Murder and Inciting a Felony among other charges.

Two juveniles under are the age of 17 are also wanted in connection to the crime. Authorities identified them as:

16-year old Drake Pickney. He is charged with 2nd Degree Murder among other charges.
