After years of speculation, there are now strong indications that Trader Joe’s is eyeing a Lafayette location. Lafayette Consolidated Government documents hint that the specialty grocery store could be putting its next Louisiana location along Camellia Boulevard. The corner of the 1800 block of Camellia Boulevard near River Ranch could be the new home of Trader Joe’s. While the property still belongs to the Saloom family, the owners of Trader Joe’s are interested in purchasing it and a deal is close to getting done.
