SHREVEPORT, La. – A cold weather advisory is in effect for much of east and northeast Texas, southeast Oklahoma, southwest Arkansas and portions of northwest Louisiana due to wind chill values falling below 15 degrees tonight.
The KTBS MEGA 3 Storm Team is tracking a system that could bring snow to the region beginning Monday night. The track of this gulf system is very important. We have the cold air in place this time around, but will the moisture make it north to give us wintry weather? Wintry weather could consist of some flurries at the low end or accumulating snow and ice at the high end. Right now, it will be cold enough for primarily snow if things were to materialize. This will evolve over the weekend as confidence increases.
