ST. MARTINVILLE, La ( KLFY ) — A candlelight vigil was held for Shentell Brown, the slain St. Martin Parish Assistant District Attorney with the 16th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Professionally, Brown is remembered for her contributions to the juvenile court system and serving with the 16th Judicial District Court since 2002. She is also remembered for her love and passion for helping others.
On Feb. 9, Shentell Brown and her husband Kevin, were involved in a verbal fight while riding in their vehicle in Lafayette. Authorities said the verbal altercation resulted in Kevin drawing a weapon, firing several shots at Brown, and then turning the gun on himself. Two of their children were in the back seat…
