Meet King Toussaint L’Ouverture LXVII Orenthal Ramon Lusk

On Saturday, Feb. 15, Lafayette Mardi Gras Festival, Inc. recognized and celebrated our newly appointed King, King Toussaint L’Ouverture LXVII, Orenthal Ramon Lusk.

Lusk is the eldest son of the late Sandra Lusk-Moore and Mr. Quinton Moore, Sr. He is a devoted husband to Jacqueline Lusk and a proud father of six children — Porscha, Jaylon, Jayla, Frederick, Jasmine, and Jayden — along with his beloved bonus daughter, Nova Grace.

A native of Alexandria, and raised in Lafayette, Lusk is a 1990 graduate of Northside High School. His academic journey continued at Southeastern Louisiana University, where he earned a basketball scholarship. After two years, he transferred to Grambling State University, where he further pursued his basketball career and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management in 1997…
