Louisiana Weather Alert: Tornado Watches Issued for Multiple Parishes Until Tuesday Evening

Shreveport, LA – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued Tornado Watches for multiple parishes across Louisiana, with severe weather expected through Tuesday evening.

According to the NWS, Tornado Watch 20 remains in effect until 3 p.m. CST for parts of north-central, central, and southwest Louisiana, including Caldwell, Grant, La Salle, Evangeline, Rapides, Acadia, Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis, Vermilion, and Vernon parishes. Cities within the watch area include Alexandria, Lake Charles, Jennings, DeRidder, Ville Platte, and Crowley.

Additionally, Tornado Watch 21 is active until 7 p.m. CST for Avoyelles, St. Landry, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Martin, and St. Mary parishes, including the cities of Lafayette, Opelousas, Morgan City, and New Iberia.
