Former Alexandria officer, now Lafayette deputy, arrested on cruelty to juvenile charges

A Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s deputy was arrested on Monday on two felony counts of cruelty to a juvenile, according to Louisiana State Police.

A news release named the deputy as Matthew Frost, 28, of Lafayette. Frost is a former Alexandria Police Department officer who was named as a defendant in a federal lawsuit following the death of a woman in 2022.
