EF-2 tornado touches down in St. Landry Parish, causing extensive damage

GRAND PRAIRIE, La. (NEWS 15) — A storm survey team with the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado caused damage near Grand Prairie.

Surveyors noted an EF-2 tornado touched down south of Grand Prairie from LA 363 to Point Verte Road. The area saw extensive damage from the 111 mph to 135 mph winds.

The crew also examined damage near the Lebeau area and concluded it was caused by straight line winds…
