Lake Charles, La. – Strong winds are sweeping across south Louisiana Saturday, with gusts up to 30 mph expected to cause travel issues and blow around unsecured objects along the I-10 corridor.
According to the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, a Wind Advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for all parishes south of I-10, including Cameron, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Morgan City, and Pecan Island. Southeast winds will reach sustained speeds of 20 mph, with peak gusts making it difficult for high-profile vehicles and potentially knocking over lightweight items.
