Suspect arrested following deadly shooting in Baton Rouge, police say

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting on Avenue E in Baton Rouge.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Daniel Westley, 39, is charged with first-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.

Police said the shooting happened on Tuesday, April 1, and claimed the live of James Williams, 80. They added that the gunfire broke out around 7:45 p.m., and the victim died at the scene…
