Baton Rouge man arrested, another wanted in connection with shooting, police say

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A Baton Rouge man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left multiple people hurt in Acadia Parish.

Police said the shooting happened in Rayne, Louisiana. They added that the gunfire was directed at some people inside of a Ford Explorer. Two of the victims were hit in the head, while several kids were also in the line of fire. The two people who suffered head wounds did survive.

According to the Rayne Police Department, the suspect, Demond Marquise Tenner, 22, was arrested in Baton Rouge. He will be transported to the Acadia Parish Jail to face charges and will be held on a $700,000 bond.

Police said that Tenner’s brother-in-law, Courtney Kendell Rogers Jr., 26, is also wanted for his alleged involvement in the shooting and has not been taken into custody…
