LAFAYETTE, La. ( KLFY ) — Lafayette residents affected by recent flooding now have a resource to turn to while attempting to recover from the severe weather.
U-Haul Company of South-Central Louisiana is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage at their two Lafayette stores to residents impacted by flash flooding that hit the area early Thursday morning.
After five to eight inches of rain fell on Lafayette, Broussard, Youngsville and surrounding cites, causing widespread road closures and potential water damage to many homes and businesses. U-Haul is offering residents access to dry and secure self-storage rooms and portable storage containers. These resources can be essential to communities recovering from a natural disaster.
