LAFAYETTE, La. ( KLFY ) — In honor of the fallen officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, a police memorial service motorcade will be held in Lafayette on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Police said the motorcade will leave the Lafayette Police Department at 900 E University at 5:30 p.m. and will end up at St. Barnabas at 400 Camellia Blvd.

The law enforcement agencies that will be in attendance will be the Lafayette Police Department, Lafayette Sheriff’s Department, Lafayette Marshalls, Abbeville Police Department, Chitmacha Tribal Police, Crowley Police Department, Youngsville Police Department, Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, Jennings Police Department, Kaplan Police Department, Louisiana State Police, New Iberia Police Department, Port Barre Police Department, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office.
During the procession, motorists can expect heavy traffic between 5:30 p.m. to around 7 p.m.
