Candlelight vigil held in Rayne for fallen officer

RAYNE, La. (KLFY) — The community gathered in front of the Rayne Police Station to honor the life of Rayne Police Lieutenant Allen “Noochie” Credeur.

Credeur was killed in the line of duty during a standoff in Rayne last Monday. News 10 was there and spoke with organizers and friends of Credeur, who say his legacy will live on.

“He was at every football game, every baseball game, he touched so many lives,” said Suzette Leonards, the organizer of the vigil. “It’s really important when everyone is grieving to know that we can all stand together as a community and help repair each other’s hearts.”…
